Hey, it may be 10 months since my last blog but at least I came back!
I left Uni not long after I started, it just wasn't my thing. I now have a job with Zurich Insurance which has nothing to do with films or writing but I absolutely love it! The people I work with are crazy and it's just fun. Unlike Uni.
But, as usual, let's discuss movies! My parents were away last week so I had the house to myself. Being as truly lazy as I am, I watched 28 movies! Of those 28, the best were: Die Hard (always entertaining), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (great up-lifting movie), Secretary (a bizarre yet lovely story of romance), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (very witty and well acted), Resident Evil (surprising good) and The Rock (a film I have watched way too many times and always enjoy!).
The worst of the lot were: Resident Evil: Apocalypse (just don't bother), Karate Kid III (couldn't wait for it to end) and Predator (I feel I should like it but just never have).
Cinema-wise I saw Transformers which I really enjoyed. It has absolutely no plot really but the effects are just amazing. The live action cast are good too. Michael Bay is very good at action, it's when he tries sentimentality that he fails. I'm not a fan of the guy but this is one of his best. Still nowhere near as good as The Rock though 
I also saw Hairspray with a friend because I was intrigued by it. I have never seen the original, didn't know anything about and I absolutely loved it! It was an excellent feel good film, the songs were catchy as hell, the performances were great and it is totally rewatchable. John Travolta was slightly scary in it, it was hard to see him as the character rather than John Travolta in a dress. And as much as it pains me to say it...I completely fell for Zac Efron as Link Larkin 
I now have an urge to see High School Musical which goes against everything I stand for! Ah well, maybe it's not as bad as I always imagined it to be.
